Application Control Throughput

Hi,

hi,

this is approx. the throughput of the FGT if only AppControl is applied to the traffic, in Mbit/s.

As AppControl is based on the IPS engine, both figures should be roughly the same (AppControl and IPS throughput).

And, before you ask, if you enable AV and AppControl at the same time in the policies, the throughput may drop the the lower value given in the datasheet. Both methods are hardware accelerated so it won't bring your traffic down to a crawl.

That means: "Application Control Throughput" is the throughput of Fortigate when enables Firewall and Application Control. Is it correct?

ede_pfau

Correct.
