How to configure 2 IP Pools

Dear Team,

I have an FGT60E FW in my Office.  currently, it is handing out IPs in the range of 10.1.0.0 range IP's to the network.  I was asked to add the 2nd pool of IP without changing the existing IP Pool.  Probably in the range of 192.168.10.0.

How do I configure the FGT FW to achieve this task?  Please assist.

Thank you

Kind regards

M

you can add a second ip pool to the dhcp.

But there is no way to tell the dhcp what client should get an ip from out of which pool dynamically.

You would have to block unknown mac addresses and create a reservation for any client in this case.

Additionally the other opitons like dns or default gateway which are haded over by dhcp can only be set once per dhcp server. This would then require extra policies and maybe some routing depending on the config.

If you want it dynamically you have to seperate the traffic. This means you eed annother interface (physical, switch or vlan) to make sure that only clients coming this way will get answers from the correct dhcp.

As long as the second pool - 192.168.x.x is configured on separate from the existing pool interface, will work just fine. Trying to configure it on the same interface will mostly bring mess to the network.
