.Net Framework time out error

Hello,

I get an error everytime I try to open an sql-based program. It's an .net framework error saying "an unhandled exception has occurred in your application.  If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quick, the application closes immediately. Connection time-out expired"

When I'm at work (and don't use the VPN) I don't have any problems. My colleagues don't have any problem while on VPN. So it's only me.
