Connecting to Fortigate without forticlient

Hi,

I am trying to figure out a way to connect to the fortigate vpn directly without having to use the forticlient. 

Is this possible at all ? Has anyone been able to do this.

Yes for ipsec almost any vpnclient can work ( e.g anyconnect , ncp, or shrewsoft )
