FortiClient on Mac Mojave to FortiGate via iOS Hotspot - Weird workaround

This combination of SSL VPN, MacOS and iOS hotspot always seems to be problematic. I've had similar issues with Cisco's Anyconnect. However I discovered a workaround when playing around with FortiClient.

Changing the DNS server configured on the Mac from a DHCP supplied server running on the iOS device to another provider eg Google 8.8.8.8 allows Forticlient to connect and establish a tunnel. Is there anyone on this forum who can feed this into an error report for Fortinet?

I'd love to see this fixed but assume that it would require someone with access to Apple's engineers to actually get something moving.
