Forticlient On-net/Off-net detection and Autoconnect

Hi

I'm trying to set up On-Net/Off-Net detection with Fortclient in managed mode to enable to auto-connect to the SSL VPN when off-net.

I am using the 10 Free licences that came with the Fortigate 60E.

So far - I have managed to get the Forticlient registered with the Fortigate and it will detect it as On-Net when connect to the LAN on the Fortigate but if if set up auto connect it will keep connecting to the VPN even when it is directly connected to the LAN and 'on-net', At which point the client is shown as 'off-net'.

Is there a way for it to only auto-connect when 'off-net'? I was under the assumption this was the whole point of on-net/off-net detection?

I am using FortiOS 5.6.5.
