URL Filtering

Hello All,

We use fortigate URL Filtering restrict user access to the unnecessary web pages.

we blocked Bandwidth and consuming and enable access to the youtube using URL Filtering after that we couldn't access to the youtube.

when we want to block a main category and want to allow access to some websites in that blocked category
Is there any way to do that?

Local categories are for that purpose. Mine has 5.6.4 but GUI menu might be slightly different for 5.4 or 5.2, or 6.0. You can create (or modify existing "custom1" or "custom2") a new category like "whitelist" under Serurity Profiles->Web Rating Overrides underneath "Custom Categories". Once it's created, come back to Web Rating Overrides and specify URLs you want to whitelist. After you saved them, the whitelist should show up in the category tree in Web Filter profile, so you can allow it. FGT look up local categories before check all other pre-set categories with FortiGuard service.
