Monitoring all the hosts who goes out via CMTS

Hi there to everyone, hope I'm finding everyone well. I'm a new guy here, and first of all I wanna say that's my pleasure being on this Forum. I dont have alot of knowledge about the Fortigate and the way how it works. But I heard that this kind of Network Monitoring has alot of features, and it really has how I noticed at some of videos. I want to ask you guys, if someone can tell something further about this product. For example I dont have clear, that product does it work also in a big company by monitoring all the hosts who goes out via CMTS, or it is made to work only in a Intra Space via Switches LAN Network. If someone has any answer for the first question which is Monitoring all the hosts who goes out via CMTS in to Internet, how it is possible to connect FortiGate devices in order to monitor all the hosts in a big company.
