Wondering Antivirus for Windows 10

Greeting to all, I am wondering free antivirus for windows 10. Is there any free working antivirus available? I am using AVG but not satisfied because my laptop gone hanged while using antivirus.

Two options come to mind:

FortiNet via the FortiClient has an antivirus option. The FortiClient can be installed with or without the antivirus protection. After you uninstall AVG you should be able to install FortiClient with the antivirus protection enabled. I have tested it but have not yet used it in a production environment. Some do though and I have heard fairly positive responses so far.

Microsoft Windows Defender - This is included with Windows 10 I believe. You may find that if you uninstall AVG that Windows Defender will become active. You can verify this via Control Panel / Security I believe.
