Static URL filter is not blocking

I have enabled the web filter feature in feature select

I have added a number of domains to the web filter

I have enabled web filter to a policy web traffic passes through

I have enabled SSL inspection

But still, the web pages are not blocked.

I have also tried none https sites and still, the websites are not blocked.

I assume I do not need a valid subscription of any kind to manually block specific URL's

what steps can I take to resolve the issue?

Thanks

Hi londonnet,

1. What firmware version installed?

2. Opening Dashboard & check support information ( Valid Subscription )

It's 5.4 but I will have to get the exact build number tomorrow when I regain access.

Re support my subscriptions expired some a year ago, but I would have expected locally configured domains to be blocked. I'm not looking to us the features from the cloud service, just block domains I have configured locally.

The exact version is v5.4.0,build1011 (GA)

All of the fortiguard licences have expired

But should you not be able to locally configure your own domains to block?

Hi Does anyone have a clue why the static URL is not blocking?

I can't see why it is not blocking simple http sites when the url's are stored locally

Thanks

I think I need to raise a ticket for this issue. It looks like this is a bug.

configuring local urls does nothing.

I am simply trying to block access to a single site using web filtering but the feature does not work.

My work around is to block hosts

All of the fortiguard licences have expired

That should explain  why it's not working. Again a  diag debug flow will shed some light.
