FortiWifi 60c License

Hello All,

I have a fortiwifi 60c device with a antivirus license expire in 2012.

When i would like to renew the license do i need to buy for 5 years ?

I mean for year 2013,2014,2015,2016 and 2017?

Or will it work if I buy for 1 year?

Sathumax, If you check the standard terms & conditions you will see that Fortinet operates a continuous service policy but with a limit of 180 days. Your renewal, for a contract expired in 2012, would back date by just 180 days. Regards, Admin

Hi Sathumax,

I recommend to contact a sales representative. FG-60C is end-of-sales and you can only get support/license till the end of 2019. So there are at least 3 variants:

as Admin says, you buy 1y bundle and lose 6 months.

there is high probability to get bundle till the end-of-support date without the 180 days penalty. It will be about 2.5 times more money but you get 5 times more license :)))

there should be trade-up promotions, you can get FG-60E bundle with very big discount. Usually 30+ percent, and you keep the old hardware.[/ul]

Bear in mind that you cannot upgrade 60C to the latest firmware, you are stuck with FortiOS 5.2.x
