40C with corrupted flash?

Every time when there's a power outage at my home, FG 40C crashes.

This is annoying, I have to upload firmware and config over an over again :(

Is there a way to replace internal flash or to use external usb disk as primary storage space?

Thank you all for replies.

My company bought me 60E so I can't complain, but before throwing away 40C I decided to open it and take a look. There is a battery CR2032, wanted to check how FG will behave with a new one.

To my surprise, the new battery solved the problem.

Install a UPS on the 40C. Not your direct answer, but a solution.

Or use the auto-install feature and a USB stick. Will reload firmware and config if necessary on boot.

But really, this is cr*p. Sell it on ebay and get a working unit. Or have it replaced if you have a valid contract.

I don't know in your country but in the US I saw FG40C @ US$30 on eBay. Actually I sold my old one a little higher than that via eBay earlier this year. I would recommend you get a newer/better one though for the same reason I got rid of.
