Hi Ahmad,

It is not clear what link you are trying to create, could you please elaborate? Is it that the domain www.x.ae is to be hosted on local server 192.168.1.10 and you would like to access the server from internet?

Best regards,

Jin

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

When you write the domain in url of the browser, it should resolve to the public ip address of the FortiGate device. The service provider from where you purchased the domain is also likely to have the nameserver where dns records are created or configured, please check with them on managing dns records. Once dns records are made and points to the public IP of FortiGate, traffic from internet could reach the firewall. Please see the article shared by hhasny, it will help configure the FortiGate to allow traffic that reaches from internet to your local server, and get you the access.

Best regards,

Jin

Hi Ahmad,

So you are hosting a webserver behind the Fortigate? You need to make sure if the domain/url is resolvable to an IP. On the Fortigate create VIP to map it out.

Check the following KB for the VIP config portion.
