hairpining nat

hello 

i have fortigate 100e  and 6.0.5 running on device

i have 2 wan ip dsl and metro 

mail server is nat dsl , client networks are nat metro net . we wan to access external server of mail server 

i find hair pining nat on fortigete but i didnt success

You would have to share some config so I can see what you're missing because the article really gives you all the right info on how to do this (I use it for my network as well).

Considering the mail server is external and likely has proper DNS records setup, you may be better off either setting up a local DNS record on the client network that resolves the host name to a local address.  Alternately, you could try DNS translation.
