Accessing FortiGate via API

Hello

I was wondering how to control a FortiGate 200E via API.

Today I have a small program written in C# that uses telnet to change several schedules, addresses and policies.

Is it possible to do it via the REST API and how would I configure it in Visual Studio using C#?
